From 17:00 to 18:30, internationally awarded film director Mr Ken Loach will addressed the Committee on Culture and Education of the European Parliament on The Role for European Cinema in Tomorrow’s Europe. Ms Céline Sciamma* and Mr Andrea Segre**, were also present . LUX FILM PRIZE: 10 years, 100 films

LUX means ‘light’ in Latin. Light creates images. It enlightens consciences. It evokes the founders of cinema, Auguste and Louis Lumière.

An exhibition in PARLAMENTARIUM on the 10 years of LUX FILM PRIZE after being inaugurated on 10th October by Members of the European Parliament and film directors, will open to public from 11 October till the 29 of January 2017. Free access. More information can be found here

 

European premiere - MUSTANG, simultaneously screened across Europe

In the evening of 10 October, 2015 LUX Film Prize winner Mustang was simultaneously screened across the EU. Thanks to Europa Cinemas, one theatre in each EU Member State took part in this unique European premiere. The audience would had the opportunity to attend the free screening with the film director Ms Deniz Gamze Ergüven, via a Twitter Q&A session.
