Juliette Duret has been Head of Cinema for the Centre for Fine Arts Brussels, BOZAR, since 2013. Having completed her undergraduate degree in Economics at the Université libre de Bruxelles, Duret began to develop her desire to work in cinema. She began by working as a production assistant on adverts and then, after moving to Barcelona, collaborated with Virginie Thevenet on her feature film Sam Suffit. In 1992, Duret took up the position of Coordinator for Wallonie Bruxelles Images, promoting the audio-visual arts and cinema industry of the French-speaking community abroad through facilitation, marketing and promotion at international film festivals and other prominent film and television market events. In 2001, Duret completed a yearlong professional development programme at EAVE, les Entrepreneurs de l’Audiovisuel, before becoming Head of Wallonie Bruxelles Images. After 13 years, Duret moved to BOZAR to take up the position of Coordinator and Film Curator at BOZAR from 2006-2013.
