The Brussels Film Festival is about to start

Invitation BIFF 2013

The Brussels Film Festival (19-26/06) is about to start: take the great opportunity to discover European cinema in all its diversity with more than 50 films screened in Flagey.

This year, the LUX Prize of the European Parliament will once again team up with the Festival for a very special event. La Petite Venise, the film by Andrea Segre awarded with the 2012 LUX Prize, will be screened in audio description for visually impaired. The screening will take place in Flagey on June 25th at 3:30pm to be followed by a debate with Mrs. Isabelle Durant, Vice-President of the European Parliament, and Mrs. Rachid Madrane, State Secretary to the Brussels-Capital region. The debate will focus on the integration and further inclusion of the blind and visually impaired and their access to cultural events, particularly in the Brussels region.

As 2013 is the European Year of Citizens, the European Parliament wishes, more than ever, to engage all citizens, and enable a broader audience to share the beauty of this sensitive and poetic film which has already captivated the public throughout Europe.
