2008 LUX Prize contender Kornél Mundruczó has accepted to chair the Jury of the Competition at the next Sarajevo Film Festival, which will be held from the 6th until the 14th of July 2012.

Mundruczó, often described by critics as one of the initiators of the Hungarian New Wave, has already directed four feature films, nabbing several awards in numerous festivals. His first movie, Pleasant Days (2005), won a Silver Leopard at the Locarno Film Festival in 2002. That was only a test run given Johanna's première in Cannes in 2005 and Delta's astonishing career - official competition in Cannes, awards at the Cottbus and Sarajevo Film Festivals but also at the Hungarian Film Week and, obviously, the Competition for the LUX Prize in 2008.

His latest film, Tender Son - The Frankenstein Project, also impressed in Cannes, Seville and Sarajevo, the latter now giving him the honour of chairing its jury, thus acknowledging Mundruczó's impressive place in the European cultural landscape.
